Kite Festival

These pictures are from the first annual kite festival. It was up by the SF gun club and reservoir to celebrate the new windmills up the canyon. Aunt Liz got off work early enough to come along, and we randomly met up with the Esplin crew (Grandmp Paula, Mel, Jesse, Dan, Marie, and Ava) too. Our timing was perfect - what are the odds? We loved watching the waverunner pull giant kites around the reservoir. It was such a beautiful day at the reservoir. The wind picked up again as we were getting ready to leave, and people started flying their own kites again. We didn't think to bring our own kites, but we lucked out that Liz found some old friends that were leaving and let Sam keep their kite. It was an Elmo kite, and Sam was thrilled with it.
