Dave and I took Sam to his first ever MONSTER TRUCK event. It was an outside show at the Rocky Mountain Speedway, which I thought would give Sam a better chance of leaving with some of his hearing. It was a beautiful night, and we had a blast. I didn't think Sam would want to stay for the whole thing, but we had to drag him out after we had been there for about 2.5 hours.
Sam's favorite truck was snake eyes, and he was sure that his Dad could drive him if he would just call him. The next morning, Sam kept getting the phone begging Dave to just call Snake Eyes so that he could come down and Dave and Sam could go for a drive.
In between the Monster Truck races, there were other types of car races that were lots of fun to watch too. Of course Sam always wanted the green ones to win.
